Beatsburg is my own sound design project, built around recording and experimenting with sounds from everyday objects and non-traditional sources. These recordings were shaped into rhythmic structures and textures through hands-on sampling, chopping, and arrangement, with the focus on feel, groove, and character rather than traditional musical instrumentation.

Backpack

Built a beat entirely from backpack recordings, using the straps as a shaker, the zipper as a synth, and the laces to create the bass.

Boots

Created a rhythmic sound design piece using boots as the sole sound source — boot laces forming the bass, and the outsole providing percussive elements.

Bicycle

Created a rhythmic sound design piece using a bicycle as the sole sound source — spokes forming keyboard-like harmonies, the bell used as a sound effect, the seat as a kick, and the chainwheel with pedals shaping the snare.

Restless

Created a kitchen-based remake of Restless by Frankie Animal, using glasses as keyboard elements and sounds from kitchen utensils, a toaster, and a coffee machine to shape the beat.

Fan

A beat built from umbrella recordings — water used as SFX, knobs shaped into percussive elements, and the opening snap of the umbrella delivering a bold, fat snare that hits hard.
